For decades, the story of El Triunfo has been one of oblivion by the State and violence from the former Farc guerrilla, paramilitary groups and drug dealers. As a consequence, this tiny village was abandoned in 2002.
Now, we are helping seed the hope of a better future for everyone in El Triunfo.
The process of recovery began after the signature of the Peace Agreement between the Farc guerrilla and the Colombian Government. In 2016, some families started returning to El Triunfo and in 2020 tried creating a cheese fabric with governmental aid, but it was left half-built due to the lack of additional investment.
In 2022, Puramazonía began working with El Triunfo to cultivate Amazonic fruits (such as acai, copoazu, cocona and camu-camu) that could be processed and processed sold in the Colombian and international markets.
In 2023, the El Triunfo community, Puramazonía and Fincas decided to join forces to transform agriculture while restoring nature and growing a better future for El Triunfo and all of us.
